Facial Reflexology

Facial Reflexology is unique in that it is not just about making you look better but offers a healing touch at the same time.

I use the Bergman Facial Reflexology method which is a non-invasive wellness & anti-aging facial treatment that has a direct rejuvenating effect on the skin and provides some additional unique benefits.

It is a powerful treatment due to reflexes being worked that are in close proximity to the cranial nerves and brain. It incorporates Native American techniques and Asian body maps that chart the reflex points on the face. Stimulating these facial reflexes intrinsically connects to the brain via the body’s neural pathways, sending integral messages to be interpreted so that necessary adjustments are made by the body to promote rebalancing and self-healing. When healing mechanisms are stimulated, this encourages:

* An improved skin tone with more radiance

* Stimulation of collagen and elastin

* An improvement in lymphatic drainage which reduces puffiness

* The release of muscle tension

* The relief of stress and a feeling of calm

What happens during a Facial Reflexology treatment?

A consultation will at first be carried out and you will be requested to sign a consent form. This normally takes 15 to 20 minutes, after which the treatment lasts 1 hour.
You will be asked to lie on a comfortable therapy couch which can be adjusted for your comfort. Your skin will be cleansed, but if preferred, it is not necessary to remove eye or lip make up.
The use of an appropriate facial oil during the treatment also enhances the experience of facial reflexology. As long as there are no contra-indications and if you wish, the facial treatment can also include a massage of your scalp, upper arms and shoulders which can further aid relaxation and release of tension.

After the treatment you will be given some self-care advice that is pertinent to you.
